What Do I Wear?
You’ve booked your boudoir session — and now comes one of the most exciting (and nerve-wracking!) parts: deciding what to wear.
Here’s the truth: there’s no single “right” outfit for boudoir. The best wardrobe choices are the ones that make you feel confident, beautiful, and authentically yourself. Whether that’s a sultry lace set or your favorite cozy sweater, what matters most is that you feel amazing in it.
Here’s my guide to choosing outfits that will photograph beautifully in my Maryland studio’s signature sets — and help you feel like the goddess you are. 💋
Choose Pieces That Make You Feel Incredible
Confidence is the most powerful thing you can wear. When you feel good, it shows in your photos.
Pick pieces that highlight your favorite features — maybe that’s a plunging neckline, high-waisted bottoms, or something sheer and flowy. If you’re not sure what flatters you best, bring a few options. I’ll help you choose what works beautifully with your body and with the studio sets.
Coordinate Your Outfits with the Studio Sets
Each of the sets in my Maryland studio has its own mood and aesthetic, and certain colors and styles really shine in each one.
Think soft, romantic tones like blush, champagne, ivory, and gold. Lace or satin pieces look especially dreamy here.
Perfect for a more moody, sophisticated vibe. Jewel tones, a brown bodysuit, or a crisp white button-up all look incredible with the vintage library vibes.
Go for full-on bombshell energy with red-on-red, black lace, or metallic accents. A bold lip ties the whole look together.
This set is all about bold, dramatic energy — black, purple, or emerald green pieces pop beautifully here. Leather, mesh, or lace adds that extra edge.
For this set, think elegant layers and soft glam — robes, silky pieces, and pearls create contrast against the rich tones and chandelier for a timeless feel.
This raw, textured space pairs beautifully with lace, sheer fabrics, and neutral tones — letting skin, shape, and emotion take center stage against the industrial backdrop.
Simple and striking works best here — bold colors, structured pieces, and effortless styling create powerful, classic images that never go out of style.
For the wet set, less is more — a simple white tank for a classic wet t-shirt look, or even nude with body chains photograph powerfully as water adds movement and shine.
Mix It Up
Bringing a variety of looks helps us capture different sides of you:
• Classic: A matching lingerie set in black, white, or nude.
• Bold: Jewel tones, strappy details, or a bodysuit.
• Cozy: An oversized sweater, your favorite tee, or even just the sheets.
• Personal: Something meaningful — a partner’s shirt, sports jersey, a piece of jewelry, or your favorite heels.
You’ll love having a range of images that go from soft and romantic to fierce and unapologetic.

• The closet includes a range of sizes, colors, and styles designed to flatter every body type and photograph beautifully on each of my studio sets (and it's right here in my Annapolis, Maryland studio). From romantic lace bodysuits to sultry satin robes, you’re welcome to browse and borrow pieces during your session at no extra cost.
• Many clients love mixing one of their own outfits with something from the closet for added variety. And don’t worry — I’ll be there to help you choose what looks best for your shape, comfort level, and the vibe you want to create.
Don’t Forget the Details
• Shoes: Heels can add drama and elongate your legs, but barefoot is beautiful too.
• Jewelry: Simple and elegant works best — think dainty gold chains or statement earrings.
• Accessories: Robes, stockings, garters, and hats can add a fun twist to your look.

Fit and Comfort Matter
If something doesn’t feel right when you try it on at home, it probably won’t feel great during your shoot. Choose pieces that fit well and let you move comfortably — confidence always looks best when you’re not distracted by tugging or adjusting.

Bring a Little Extra
Bring more options than you think you’ll need! Sometimes the outfit you almost left behind ends up being the one that photographs best.
Pro tip: remove tags, steam your pieces if needed, and pack nude and black panties.
